Introduction Paragraph
Start your report with an introductory paragraph
that states the main ideas that you will be writing about throughout your whole paper.
For example:
Who is your explorer and where was he from?
Any interesting details about his life before he became an
explorer?
Were there any events happening in the country your explorer lived in or around the world that inspired your explorer?
(For example, if you were writing about Henry the Navigator, you could start by
talking about Marco Polo and how his book inspired Prince Henry.)
Clearly summarize what the explorer did. You will go into further detail about specific
events in the body of your paper.
